ラン科 【属名】アラクニス属 [Arach.]; scorpion orchid エピデンドルム亜科。11種があり、インド北部からソロモン諸島まで広く分布する。大型で、着生または地生。茎は長く、革質の葉が互生する。花序は側生し、黄緑色や白色に斑点の入った、大型の花がつく。

ラン科 アラクニス・フロスアエリス spider orchid 東南アジアからフィリピンにかけて分布。花は大きく径7.5～10cm、濃緑または黄色地に栗色の縞が入る。花期は夏。
