- Brownea coccinea Jacq.
- マメ科 ホウカンボク(宝冠木) scarlet flame bean 3mになる低木。球形で朱赤色の花序から長い雄しべが覗き、高貴な印象を与える。
- Brownea grandiceps Jacq.
- マメ科 オオホウカンボク(大宝冠木) rose of Venezuela 5～20mになる高木。花は濃桃色か赤色で、球形の花序は径20cmにおよび美しい。
