- キョウチクトウ科 【属名】アコカンテラ; サンダンカモドキ属 poison tree; bushman's-poison 東～南アフリカ・アラビアに5種が知られる。低木または小高木。本属は非常に強い毒性をもつ乳液を出し、矢毒に用いられる。

- キョウチクトウ科 アコカンテラ・ロンギフロラ Bushman's poison; murichu; mururu ケニア産の小高木。花は葉腋につき、白色で甘い香りがある。果実は紫色で長さ2.5～3cm、食べられる。葉と小枝から矢毒を作る。

- キョウチクトウ科 サンタンカモドキ wintersweet; African wintersweet; poison arrow plant 南アフリカ東部海岸原産。対生する革質の葉は、ツバキ科のモッコクに似る。花は春に枝の先端に穂状につき、白～淡紅色で芳香が強い。花序はアカネ科のサンタンカに似る。乳液は猛毒。
