- Rubia peregrina
- アカネ科 ワイルドマダー wild madder 這って拡がる根茎をもつ、つる性の常緑多年草。茎は四角形で下向きの刺がある。葉は楕円形～卵形で、革質で光沢があり、4～6枚が輪生する。円錐花序に黄緑色の小さな花がつき、黒色の漿果が実る。

- アカネ科 セイヨウアカネ madder 赤い地下茎をもつ、多年生のつる植物。葉は対生し楕円形でざらざらする。黄緑色の小さな花が葉腋に房になって咲き、のち黒い液果になる。根から赤色染料が採れる（茜根、茜草）。
