&ラン科 【属名】ボレア属 [Bol.] エピデンドルム亜科。6(12)種があり、コロンビア高地の雲霧林に生育する着生ラン。コンドロリンカ(Chondrorhyncha)やハントレヤ(Huntleya)に近縁で、草姿がよく似ている。 &Bollea coelestis Rchb.f.;Zygopetalum coelestis &ラン科 ボレア・コエレスティス コロンビア・エクアドル産。花は肉厚ろう質で、強い芳香があり、径約8～10cm、藤色ないし淡紫色、唇弁の中央に鮮黄色の突起がある。花期は夏。 &Bollea violacea Rchb.f.;Zygopetalum violaceum;Huntleya violacea &ラン科 ボレア・ウィオラケア ギアナ産。花は芳香があり径5～7cm、濃い菫色で、唇弁の中央に黄桃色の大きなカルスがある。花期は夏。本属のタイプ種。
