ベニノキ科ベニノキ;リップスティックツリー lipstick tree; red achiote; achiote; annatto tree; annatto 小高木。枝先の花序に、淡紅色で径5cmの花が咲く。種子の赤い皮(種衣)から橙赤色の染料を採る。これを内服すると肌が小麦色に染まる。
