フトモモ科 【属名】メトロシデロス;オオフトモモ属;ムニンフトモモ属 bottlebrush; iron tree; lehua おもに太平洋諸島を中心に点々と約70種が分布する。常緑高～低木。

フトモモ科 オヒアレフア ohia lehua ハワイ原産の常緑小高木。山の斜面に多く、火山の亜硫酸ガスに耐性があるという。枝先にブラシ状で深紅色の花をつける。レイに使われ、また良質の花蜜が採れる。
