The extract of Ginkgo biloba contains various flavonoids and terpenoids, and many groups reported its beneficial effects on dementia and other memory-related impairments. After 8 years of extensive epidemiologic study, however, Ginkgo extract improved neither all-cause dementia, Alzheimer disease[1], nor long-term cognitive functions[2].
